Mr. Phil "The Bee Guy" Gavin

Phil Gavin from The Honey Exchange visited with us, taught us a great deal about bees and let us taste 2 kinds of honey!!

Chewonki visits us!

Thanks so much to our PTA for bringing Chewonki to visit us!  We study mammals in the spring and this was a great introduction to our mammals study.
Emma came from Chewonki with many stuffed mounts, some furs, some feet, some skulls..... and a live bat!  He WAS the star of the show!

SPIDERS!!
Following our insect study, we discovered the arachnid world!
Spiders only have 2 body parts (insects have 3) and spiders have 8 legs (insects have 6) !
