Chewonki and Maine mammals!

Thanks so much to our PTA for bringing Chewonki to visit us!  We study mammals in the spring and this was a great introduction to our mammals study.
Emma came from Chewonki with many stuffed mounts, some furs, some feet, some skulls..... and a live groundhog!  He WAS the star of the show!

Entomologists Retire !!

Hi Families,

As the fall comes to a close....and the insects and spiders are now scarce, we are finishing our insect and arachnid studies!  Thought you might enjoy seeing the creative insects your children made.  Each one had "head, thorax, abdomen, 6 legs (no more, no less) and two antennae on its head....and maybe wings...and compound eyes!"  Thanks for your support with all of the supplies!

Contraction Surgery

We performed Contraction Surgery today.  Two

words went out for a drive.  Let's say the words were LET and US.  There was some distracted driving and a crash.  U of US fell out of the car and was taken to the hospital.  We joined the remaining letters together.... LET  S and added an apostrophe to remind us that U is recovering.  LET'S
